Man in his 20s shot dead – as boys among three arrested


A man in his 20s has been shot dead and another has been wounded during an incident in the West Midlands.

Police have launched a murder investigation after the shooting in Well Lane, Walsall, just before 5pm on Monday.

The second man who was wounded is not thought to be in a life-threatening condition.

West Midlands Police said: “We understand the alarm that such incidents cause and there will be an increase in police presence around the area in coming days.

“Officers will be offering reassurance, so please talk to them if you have any concerns.”

Police are continuing to forensically examine the area in Well Lane as the investigation continues.
