Local Elections 2022: Tories could face losing parliamentary majority

Sky News projects that, if the 4.5 million votes cast in the local elections were extrapolated to a general election, the result would be a hung parliament.

Along with a team of psephologists, Sky’s data and economics editor Ed Conway has calculated that the Tories would remain the largest party with 278 seats, closely followed by Labour with a projected 271.
