This is a story the state didn’t want to be told.

Nonita was a child in the care of the state. Just weeks after her 18th birthday she was hit by a train. The coroner ruled she took her own life.

Nonita had told professionals again and again what she planned to do and how, but no one stopped her.

Anyone feeling emotionally distressed or suicidal can call Samaritans for help on 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org in the UK.
