Russell Brand is being investigated by a second police force following further allegations.

Thames Valley Police told Sky News that a woman contacted the force two weeks ago with “new information,” and that it was looking into her claims of “harassment and stalking”.

The Metropolitan Police previously confirmed it had received a “number of allegations of sexual offences,” all of them non-recent.

It follows a joint investigation by The Sunday Times, The Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches.

In it, Brand, 48, was accused of rape, sexual assault and abuse and sexual misconduct by a number of women – claims he denies.

More women came forward with allegations against Brand following the investigation.

Brand denies the allegations against him, saying his relationships were consensual. He has not been charged with anything.

The fallout from the claims has caused Brand to suspend his tour, as well as reigniting a debate about how stars are managed and monitored by the entertainment industry.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Thames Valley Police in the past two weeks, received new information in relation to harassment and stalking allegations dating back to 2018.

“This information is being investigated; as such it would be inappropriate to comment on an ongoing investigation.”

Sky News has approached Brand for comment.
