Cost of living: Boris Johnson urged to call emergency meeting

Videos
The spokesperson for Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that all further measures to do with the cost of living crisis will be for his successor. This has received a major backlash.

Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown said that the government needs to come together “despite the current leadership contest,” to agree on something “now”.

And Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has written to the PM to ask to bring forward an emergency meeting before “households are unable to feed themselves or heat their homes”.
