Cost of living: Energy price cap to fall, but prices could still rise

The energy regulator is lowering the cap on the amount customers can be charged by almost £1,000.

From April, Ofgem says that the energy price cap – the amount a typical household spends on gas and electricity – will fall to £3,280.

But a change to the government’s Energy Price Guarantee means that many could still see their bills rise.
